You would be surprised by the number of people who walk into our kitchenware store only to announce: “I don’t cook.” We suppose it just goes to show that the kitchen holds a kind of magic allure, even for people who are unwilling to spend any time at the stove. So, we generally escort these patrons to the back of the store and show them the barware, or remind them that we offer gift certificates for their friends and family. But tonight we offer a different response. In a gesture of solidarity towards the culinarily disinclined, we’ve come up with a class that lets you prepare an entire menu without ever lighting a burner. You don’t cook? Well, tonight…neither do we. Our refreshing summer menu highlights the tastes of the Eastern Mediterranean. Start the lesson with a trio of cool spreads: tzaziki (cucumber-yogurt), hummus, and herbed feta. Round out the menu with simple salads that pack a lot of flavor: taboulleh and a Moroccan tomato. Dessert is a quick and easy array of fruit that, with a few simple kitchen tricks, take on exotic flavor and allure. This meal is really no sweat!
