Staub Enameled Cast Iron Coq au Vin

Made in France, the Staub Coq au Vin is an exceptional addition to your kitchen. Featuring a heavy weight, tight-fitting lid to retain moisture, with Staub’s self-basting spikes on the lid to create a rain-forest effect, evenly returning juices back onto food. The Coq au Vin braises easily on all stovetops and is oven safe up to 500°F. Each piece is one of a kind, with Staub’s brilliantly hued glaze on the exterior. The rough texture of the black glazed interior results in exceptional browning and requires no seasoning.

Staub's beautifully enameled cast iron Coq au Vin cocottes, all made in France in a range of colors, are available in both 5.75 quart and 4.25 quart sizes in the traditional oval design. When your meal is ready, your Coq au Vin moves beautifully from the stove to your table.

About Staub

For centuries, cooks have taken advantage of the natural heat retention and redistribution properties of cast iron. Its black matte enamel coatings make it indestructible and highly chip resistant and also keep it from discoloring. The cast iron cookware retains the heat beautifully, keeping the dish warm long after it's been taken out of the oven or off the stove. Staub's attractive appearance make it possible for the dish to go straight from the stove to the table. In addition, the black matte enamel inside has a culinary advantage for better braising, roasting & caramelizing. All Staub enameled cast iron is made in France.
